he's commenting on unfair treatment and genocide NOT saying antichina stuff
THERES A DIFFERENCE
He said the officials in the Chinese government's local administration in Tibet were "very, very negative" toward the native Tibetans, which prevents development of a "harmonious society."
After security forces crushed Tibet's worst unrest in 20 years its spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, condemned what he called "a regime of terror".
Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama said he supports China's hosting of the Summer Olympics, but insisted Thursday nobody had the right to tell protesters demanding freedom for Tibet "to shut up."
"The expression of their feelings is up to them," he said. "Nobody has the right to tell them to shut up. One of the problems in Tibet is that there is no freedom of speech."
Speaking from Dharmsala in northern India on Sunday, he said: "They [the Chinese] simply rely on using force in order to simulate peace, a peace brought by force using a rule of terror."
"The Tibet nation is facing serious danger. Whether China admits or not, there is a problem," the Dalai Lama, Tibet's exiled spiritual leader, told a news conference at his base of Dharamsala in northern India.
Contending that unity and stability under "brute force is at best a temporary solution", the Dalai Lama said "it is unrealistic to expect unity and stability under such a rule and would therefore not be conducive to finding a peaceful and lasting solution." He appealed to the Chinese leadership to "stop using force and address the long-simmering resentment of the Tibetan people through dialogue with the Tibetan people.
Of course, knowing you're intimidated by walls of text - you're probably not gonna care. But anyways, there are some anti-chinese remarks. The Dalai Lama is NOT ANTICHINESE. Those remarks, however, are opposed to China. Opposed to their policies.
