Because it's awesome to shoot blood out of a chainsaw. Also, if your computer lags because of that, it is really old and outdated, so you shouldn't whine because your hardware is old.

I agree - people just do it for fun so that either they look more fearsome (or humorous) or pretend they're dead by lying in a pool of blood (sawing)

knew about this for some time now, but i checked this at a LAN recently, and it does not show up on my friends screen(a few months ago it did i think, but there must have been a mini update
). also, sometimes the chainsaw doesnt really work anymore if you do this thing. Actually, you could shoot a m79 bullet that has blood on it this way.

yeah, all it does is make the bullets as if they are shooting through a person, and they leave blood trails.  however their physics remain the same.  Its not just with saw, but all guns aswell.

It's a really cool bug though, you've got to admit.  It's a reason why it still exists in Soldat, otherwise it would have been removed.

But you have to be kidding me if it lags your computer.  What are the specifications for it?  Seriously, this should have nearly a minimal effect on performance unless everyone in the game is doing it.

Really, whipping out a bloodsaw only to have people crying about their pc starting to lag would only make it more fun to saw them to bits.

Whenever someone with a long name killed me, I use to get 984593 access violation error windows pop up.
I tried to voice my problem and my clanmate with a long name began targeting me specifically :[
