Stupid Rules...

To sum it all up, it fails.

Ok, so my parents took away my laptop, their own desktop(my GC and DS also). I complained that the uncertainities of not having a computer at the time of a project which absolutely requires having a computer or some other gadget that helps you with PowerPoint is making the rule pretty redundant. And they said that I have to turn in all my homework, which I have been steadily turning in for the last three months, respectively.

I haven't had my laptop since November, which is starting to be a real pain in the ass because of the thoughts of missed emails and the massive amount of Incoming mail that I will probably have if I get it back at this date. In which case, that I would still be paying for the monthly Internet Router fee (about $30), which also sucks, because you still have a working router but the desktop is mysteriously missing a keyboard and a mouse.

In my opinion, this rule is just a complete waste of my time, and I wouldn't have a problem with it otherwise, if I didn't have a tendency to either forget to do my homework or just not turn it in. I get A's in all subjects if I actually turn it in, just so you know.

Anyone with similar situations like mine had better know that it's a waste of time(in any sense or topic).

Are you saying you hate turning in / doing all your work because you can barely scrape a B without turning in / doing everything? Is this mentality of yours thoroughly hated by your parents? Why the hell are you paying $30 a month for a router?

Mmm, can be a really annoying problem. So, you've been handing in work frequently which is to your parents' wishes and yet, they claimed that you haven't and they decided to set this rule? Well... that sure is really annoying...

For GameCube and DS, that's reasonable because they probably worry that you play it too much or whatever. But computer... that's a little too much, because its really not just for games ; it has other uses.

By the way, do you have permission to use school computers or are able to go some other place to use computers instead? And I don't think they'd even let you use the computer when they find out that you really have some big project going on. If that's the case and you cannot use other computers... I'd say that is too much really.

Oh well, life sucks, just deal with it.

I am yet to lose my computer rights but my perants say that's what will happen if I don't hand in all my homework and assignments this year.  (I diddn't do my Agriculture assignment last year so they were pretty pissed)

Girlfriends - They steal your time on the computer and force you to give the time to them ; an excellent way to get yourself off the computer and get on with life. Unless you can get them hooked to playing with you on the computer, then it'd be the reverse.

Ya parents can get annoying sometimes because they may either think they understand you when they don't, or they may fail by over-nagging and resulting in demoralizing their child and causing him to fail more.

I don't get this too much, because it seems silly to keep me away from something I need to use for assessment and for job applications and such.

I sort of get the whole, You do this and i'll let you keep X, X being TV/Computer/wii/Whatever.

Oh well. Man up about it, it's not the end of the world.

i had a big internet problem...and i even still have it....my mother wont pay for the internet //she says its just a waste of money/life ...so i have to work for the money >.< ..
so now im sitting on wi-fi ... and soon i but me some internet time..
