Can't test scripts
« on: April 26, 2008, 08:33:54 pm »
So today as I am writing a script to make players have limited ammo.

I see in the scripting functions that SpawnObject has different numbers relating to weapons than in the Core.pas in the default folder of scripts.

I decide to make a simple script to check some stuff out.

First try, an error in compiling.

I fix it and the soldat server runs happily and merrily.

Now I try and join in soldat but wtf nooooo, when I request LAN servers it does nothing, If i try joining 127.0.0.1:23073 it says requesting server for ages, it has worked before, and I changed all the settings in soldat.ini to what they should be (they worked on my XP computer).

So then I come here and ask joo guys for some help, I am trying this on a windows vista computer 2.0gHz, 1gb RAM, and soldat works fine.

Help.

Oh yeah, console log is attatched

Can you join your server without running the script? If yes, maybe post the script, it could be faulty in some way. If not, get rid of Vista :p.. or look in the forums for anything about running dedicated servers on Vista.

I tried removing the script, but that didn't help. i'll have another look now, If nothing comes up, I will install XP as a virtual OS on another partition.

If you're in a LAN, you might need to forward your ports.
