The Weapon Wars 3 are set to begin. While I was initially not inclined to run this tournament again, after seeing that many players wanted it, I decided to give it a try. For the players who participated in the previous Weapon Wars, you all probably know that the Weapon Wars 2 never finished, hopefully this one has a better fate.

To those that are new, the Weapon Wars is an 1v1 tournament where players can only use the same weapon against eachother in matches (M79 vs M79, Ruger vs Ruger etc). Each weapon will be split up into a separate tournament. Players can sign up for as many or as little weapons as they want. Everyone is welcome to signup. 2 weapons will run at a time, so if your favorite weapon is not yet open, you have to wait.

Each weapon will follow the same layout. The first 2 weeks of the tournament will be freeplay in which each player can play each other player that has signed up once. After this a specific number of players will advance into a knockout playoff bracket. The winner of the playoff bracket will be the champion of the weapon.

The first 2 weapons that are running are M79 and HK-MP5 which will start on October 1st and run through November. Signups are open for these 2 weapons now. Good luck to all players.

never done any tournament before, this one seems interesting though... is there any chance you can tell me when the minimi and barret tournaments will be up?

Im not too sure yet, but if you want a basic estimate, minime/barret will be around the third pair of weapons running, which should be sometime in december/january depending on how quickly the first 2 pairs end.

I will post updates in this thread once me and the other admins have decided on the schedule of weapons.

Are these in normal servers, reaslistic servers, or R/S.

And are they in USA servers or others.

Yes, however signups will be closed on October 8th for the first 2 weapons.
