System route/location of the start button?
« on: May 23, 2008, 09:52:54 pm »
Dunno if the start button is hardcoded into XP/Vista OS's, or if it's an .exe. If it's an exe, could someone give me the system route for it (E.G. C:\Soldat)? Thanks.

It's a folder.

on XP the route is: X:\Documents and Settings\User\Start Menu

Ugh... Doesn't appear to work on Vista...
Meh, maybe  to make this a bit easier, the "Start menu" docklet on Objectdock by Stardock, that opens up the start menu. Maybe that could help a bit.

On Vista replace 'Documents and Settings' with 'Users'

Why do you want it to be an .exe?

I want to see if an app can launch it.
