Mythos

Good god, is anyone else as excited for this as I am? I've been following this for about 2 months now, just waiting for it to get into open beta. I've been waiting so long for a 'successor' to Diablo II and this is definitely the closest I've seen.

It is going to own so hard.

Thoughts?

I used to play this game it was awesome until it got too repetitive, e.g dungeons. If you want i can get an invite for you so you can start playing mythos now? Just pm me.

Sorry, you must have misunderstood me. I have registered, I have downloaded the game, but:
Quote
If you are a member of Mythos' Closed Beta Test, we hope you're enjoying the early taste of our free-to-play MMORPG. And we'd like to reassure you that the closed Mythos Beta continues apace.

In fact, things are going so well we'll soon release Mythos to a much larger audience -- we'll open our doors and our test. However, before we can truly call our Beta open for business, a few things absolutely must happen. The top of all our lists say the same thing: "Who gets to play?"

Please understand that the Mythos Closed Beta Test was designed for English speaking audiences (North Americans, really). When we do open our Beta, we simply cannot have certain countries playing a semi-functional Mythos designed for territories that are not their own. These people won't be getting the ideal localized experience we intend. Furthermore, we do still need to establish distribution deals with third-parties in foreign lands to ensure Mythos gets published and supported in the absolute best way possible.

Because of this, this week the Mythos Beta Test will no longer be made available to the following countries:

Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Japan, Cambodia, North Korea, South Korea, Laos, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Mongolia, Macao, Malaysia, Nepal, Philippines, ****stan, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Latvia, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan

We sincerely apologize to you if you currently reside in one of the above listed countries and can no longer play Mythos. We hope you understand that this is very much a test and has always been a test.

Thank you for your patience. If you feel the need to vent, please send an email our way. Your plight won't fall on deaf ears.
This sucks...

If I remember correctly, any invites that they gave out previously are now invalid after they re-rolled out zone 2.

It's a fun game, although, as Kagesha said, the dungeons do get rather repetitive. Hopefully they can improve on that before the end of the beta. I've only played it solo so far though, and I'm sure it'll be more fun with a good group of buddies.

Also, how could anyone say no to these guys? :D

I've been playing the beta for a while, and unfortunately I have to agree with Vis. But I'm following the development news, and soon the "overworld" will be released. This is some kind of huge open gameworld, where all players can play in together, comparable to WoW, I guess.
The gameplay kind of resembles Diablo 2 (haven't played 1 so I couldn't tell). It's a pure hack&slash RPG, where you spend most of your time slaughtering hundreds of monsters, and doing boss runs for decent gear.

And thats exactly what I want. However, there will not be an overworld where everyone can play, I believe they said it would be instanced to 150-200 people. Unless thats changed since I last read that.
