When people get into these flame wars of retardedness, they ignore everyone who does not insult them in some way, no matter how retarded they seem to everyone else. Its also a tradition around here, get in a pointless flame war for as long as possible. They have been known to go on for over 15 pages.

Anyway, I think it would seem to be... empty to live your entire life just to do whatever, maybe fun,  but empty.

That's your opinion, thus, it'd be better if you said "I think/believe that" first, what always happens here is that you always assume you're the correct one, without a single doubt or even a possibility of doubt, and your opinions are the laws that govern this universe, leaving no choice for the others but to flame you through any kind of flaw they find in your conceptions, character, and punctuation, eliminating all possible debating potential, which in turn gets the thread hi-jacked by a group of lamers screaming at each other, getting warnings and finally getting banned.

And you can simply avoid all that by injecting one of two words before you state your opinion;

#"I THINK" if you want to indicate that your conceptions are based on intellectual debates, and convincement, and could be changed via arranged, supported, and factual approaches.

#"I BELIEVE" If you want to indicate that your belief will not change so easily, less likely by the ongoing debate in the thread, that you have strong faith in the matter at hand.

Back on topic, I think believe the meaning of life is to honor God simply by achieving our goals and ambitions in life, by doing good, by being righteous, by being successful. If 6 billion human beings were created to just live their lives as they wish, then how can a race like this even exist in harmony?

"I think/I believe" are redundant. I won't waste my time.

Reformatted:
If god it the greatest being, he cannot exist.
If God isn't defined as the greatest being, I'd rather not pursue it.

Edit: I believe in God.

Meaning of life= God's TV shows.

You mean Televangelism? Where liars on TV cheat gullible people out of their money because "God needs it more than you do."

That's the meaning of life?
While I agree with Law here please tell me you actually get his post and this was just twisting it to make a point... please....

The way he worded it leaves me to beleive he was twisting it to prove a point passive agressively.

To answer to initial question, you can assign your own value to life and have it mean what you want it to, because after it doesn't matter. If Ben wants to get rich or die trying, and t wants to be the best he can in his God's eyes, I don't think it really matters one way or another.

The human capacity for this kind of critical thought seems really random. I don't see any other animals rationalizing their existence; it seems our critical thinking is just a mishap in nature. I personally beleive nothing else in the entire universe (know universe D:) will give a crap after you die. Everything you did in your entire life goes out the window. Kaput. The only thing that can put meaning behind your actions are humans.  The thought that 'life is for this', or 'life is for that' doesn't matter truly, only actions during your life do.

The only thing I think that matters after you die is the impact you have had on other people. Once your dead, you lose the ability to make an impact, so you better make a big one while you are around. A meaning to life feels cheesy to me, giving a purpose to what really doesn't matter. Human emotion is the only thing that will keep anything you ever did alive. If people feel strongly about you, they remember you. Meaning is just a way of getting into the record books.

For me i don't think that there's a meaning but how 'bout the"VALUE" of life...?

(Sorry if I am unintelligent, since the knowledge I have only comes from a school text book...)
