My Last Breath, I'll Defend Bravo Base
« on: March 13, 2008, 04:41:40 pm »
I was reborn. New air was forced into my lungs, new strength and most importantly, full Health and a belt-ful of nades and knives. Well, just one knife anyway. Hmm? Reborn you say? Yes...I died, but the mountains had the power of rebirth. Everything and everything that can die, will be reborn.

This was minutes ago. I stood at my post, waiting for the inevitable: The numerous footfalls of a team of the very best members of Alpha team ready to ravage the base of Bravo team and take our flag of symbol. That news was brought to us by a scout that had came back to our base, a couple minutes ahead of our enemy, bleeding and gasping for breath. He related to us the news of no fewer than 5 enemies of a Class Level of 4 or more.

I showed no fear on the outside, but inside, I trembled. I could very well take on two of these guys, but the thought of taking on more than 5 was simply unthinkable. Sniper gunshots sounded, though the shots were very far away.

The rest of our team was to get a group of the best flag-grabbers, and under the cover of dark in the tunnels, make their stealthy way towards Alpha team's flag of symbol. Not a shot would be fired, for that would certainly jepardize their mission.

Before the plan was set, and before the enemy came, and before the strategy was devised, we drew straws. I picked the shortest one. I was to defend Bravo base. Alone.

Even though my team was very generous with ammo and grenade kits, I knew that guns and knives and nades alone won't help me make it out of this alive. It was to be a foolproof plan. I was to defend the high route to our flag, and the rest of the team was to go low, into the tunnels, which were currently unoccupied by our foes. I didn't like it one bit. But it had to be done. The blue flag of symbol must be protected.

As my team made their way through the tunnels, more than half the members of Alpha team made their way towards our flag, and me. I wondered what would any old pro of the Soldat continent would do.

I lit a cigar. Cuban. Bravo team was kind enough to supply me with the only cuban cigar they could get their hands on.

I heard footfalls. Alpha team was finally coming closer. I could see the glint of their shiny-barreled Barrett M82A1s in under the moonlight. They thought that the town of Equinox would be their place of victory.

Aided only by the light of the moon, and by the light of my cigar, I caught glimpses of the enemy, clad in red, like the British soldiers of old. I held my fire. They were not in range yet.

I was suddenly conscious of my own bright blue shirt, and my blue pants, and worse, my pink dreadlocked hair. But that was the attire I chose. My life does not depend on the choice of clothes I wear. No, my life really does depend on my next course of action.

Then they came into view. It was all quite grand. The speed and grace of their movements readily gave away their power level. They were all over level 4, all right. One guy in particular, the white-haired one, was level 5. My instincts screamed at me to flee. But for the honor of Bravo team, I stood my ground.

I could tell almost all of the guys coming at me were slightly confused at the sight of only one soldier guarding the blue flag of symbol. White-hair, as usual, kept his reason. He raised his gun at me, and aimed.

I acted. A gunshot, a whoosh of air, a spurt of blood, and one guy was down. I took a quick step backward to avoid being shot in the foot. The ground in front of me exploded, spraying some dirt into my face.

I spat out my cigar, and pulled out my knife. A flash of pale light, and another guy was down. Already, my killing the two guys were taking their toll on my strength. Three remained. White-hair was still alive, silently calculating my every movement.

The guy I killed with my knife landed near me. I pulled the knife out of his stomach, and quickly threw it in the general direction of my foes. They were quick, quicker than thought, and I did not really have the time to choose my next victim.

The third victim was unlucky. He jetted in my direction, a little ahead of the others, hoping to get a kill on me. The hastily thrown knife of mine tore half his face off, leaving him bleeding quickly to a sure embrace of Death. I got out my gun. Two remained, still, gradually advancing towards our blue flag.

Although not one guy had managed to damage me, let alone kill me, I was tired, and White-hair was certainly wily, as he sent secret messages to his only comrade. As I reloaded, the comrade took a shot. I was already in the tunnel adjacent to the room that held the blue flag. The bullet didn't directly hit me, but the ricochet clipped me in the stomach. I spilled a third of my guts out. At that very second, I fired. My own ricochet actually bounced higher and hit the comrade of White-hair's in the head. His head literally blew up into pieces.

White-hair pulled out his chainsaw and rushed at me. Gun still reloading, and no knife in my belt, and no nades anywhere other than the three that I threw in rapid succession without much damage, White-hair would surely claim me as his victim.

In my sheer desperation, I turned and ran back into my base. Then I found my savior: A knife lying casually on a shelf. I picked it up, turned around, and in abject horror, saw the tip of the saw aimed right at my nutsack. I couldn't stab him yet. He was still a bit ways off. So I did a very quick throwing of the knife, just as his saw hewn my testicles all over the place. White-hair died, as I did.

As we laid there in bloody heaps of flesh, I could see out my clouding eyes a blurry formation of fellow teammates. In the center of this kerfuffle of colors of blue and black, I spotted a hazy red color. Squarish, and flapping in the breeze.

I closed my eyes in peace.

Great job. Do you base these off actual moments or are they all fiction?

You sent your team low, as the reds came and mutilated your testicles.

The end.

I actually based it off from actual moments, and believe it or not, there was actually a guy with white hair on alpha team.

And yes, I did respawn, as omitted in the first paragraph.
