Bullet Damage

For the Spas-12 and Desert Eagles, is the damage in the weapons.ini file shared among the bullets or for each individual one?

i Think it is, I assume that the number is the potential amount of damage that the bullets can inflict. Therefor, if the DE's are st to 200 damage, then each bullet carries 100 damage. I'm not sure about the spas seeing as it could just be the potential total damage output, so the spas fires 10> flaks into a target, if all of those flaks hit the target then the total potential damage is placed on the target, but if only 5 hit, then the damage is calculated by not subtracting the missed flaks imput on the target.

I could be wrong and it could be the other way around, but I think i'm right...

If it is that way, then the USSOCOM is nearly as powerful as the deagles. Just a few damage points less.

OK I did some experiments and found out that it's actually damage per projectile. So if the Deagles' dmage is 200, each bullet carries 200 damage.

The bullet damage shown there is for damage per bullet.

Spas would be 122 x <number of pellets>. So if only one miserable pellet hits, its only just 122 (don't forget bullet speed affects damage). If all hit, then that's a whole load of damage.

DEs shoot 2 bullets of 178 damage. So if both hit, its 178 x 2 damage. If only one bullet hit (rarely the case unless you shoot at long range), then its only 178 damage.

Socom is quite close to DEs, but it has lower damage per shot (171) and lower bullet speed (180, DEs have 190). And Socom only shoots one bullet unlike DEs.

Don't be surprised, but Socom is more powerful than other autos, except MP5. ...for it's maximum possible damage per second from zero range.

...Assuming that you'll hit with every bullet, yes, it's more powerful than autos (like other semis), but socom>auto situations rarely happen in practice (unless there's big difference in skill ;d).

Btw. Spas shoots 6 pellets as far as I know.

STM1993 - socom is close to DE's... When you look at stats. In practice, DE's kill much faster.

...Because they fire 2 bullets. They're basically dual SOCOMS that fire slower.

Bullet velocity is a bit greater than SOCOM, though. I don't think the values are the ones for the KE formula, but velocity still has a greater bearing on "damage" than actual weapon damage. Weapon damage mostly factors in after the bullet loses initial velocity, which I hate.
