Error which requesting server/cant connect

I'm new to this game so i'm not sure what im suppose to do.
It says Demo stopped, does it mean i HAVE to register to play? Then why don't my friend have to register.
When i press request server, it says "error while requesting server"

Whats going on?!

No, you don't have to register...
Lobby is down today for some reason.

Use search function next time. (On forums..)

it says demo because the Intro movie is called demo and when it ends its liken when you leave a server,its just a pre recorded file,servers are just down
