1. Final Fantasy 7 series (the original mostly)
2. Metal Gear Solid series (4 is the best though)
3. Zelda: Ocarina of Time

I'm into RPG's with a great story and developing characters. A game can't be linear if it's single player.

Only games that can be the same thing over and over again are multiplayer games.
4. Call of Duty 4 Online
5. Guitar Hero Series(as long as it's not single player)

You're into rpgs with great stories and none linear but you only have FF7 and TLoZ:OoT on your list which both have lousy rpg elements and freedom compared to most. [retard] [retard] [retard]

In no particular order...
Soldat,

FFVII (Overrated? Maybe. Awesome? Yes.)

Morrowinds,

Call of Duty 4,

MGS series.
I attend grammar school, last grade, and ignorance is all around me. Well, good for them. Ignorance is bliss.

But the game is still non-linear and they do have great stories. Those are the games I played and I enjoyed it. This thread is about telling what games you like, not bashing on other people's games or preferences. If you don't like it, then don't say anything at all.

1. Atomic Bomberman
2. Psychonauts
3. Silent Storm: Sentitels
4. Vangers
5. Zanzarah
I don't think these are well-known, but if you stumble upon them, give them a chance, they are worth it.

@TBDM: are you talking about unmodded stalker? Because imo it's the mods that give him the second life.

1. Final Fantasy 7 (Beautiful storyline, memorable characters, and an amazing stat system make this game at least Class 0)
2. Final Fantasy 1 (Although the characters are not as good, the storyline is still strong and the stats are there, putting this somewhere between Class 0 and Class 1)
3. Wolfenstein 3D (I don't like historical games, but this game is a strong Class 1 purely because I invested so much time into playtesting the episodes rigorously. There are a couple of glitches, even in the first levels, where trying to "open" a door  will result in the game sending you to a debug room with treasures that earn you additional points. This has kept my interest for more than months on end.)

I can't think of the other two right now, because I only deem Class 1 or better games to be allowed to go into my top game list. The class system goes all the way to Class 5, bad games like GTA: San Andreas (too violent, and no attraction in playtesting), but still.

The Warcraft series has held a fond place in my heart. I played these games from age 6, and it has never lost it's wonder. All the little secrets you find while playing through the campaign's, the virtually endless possibilities of custom maps, and the great head to head online play, have always kept me oming back for more.

Tales of Phantasia (SNES, RPG) is probably the best game you have never played. It was only released in Japan, and you need a translated ROM to play it, as far as I know. The game uses a more action arcade style of fighting in the battles, so you have be actively involved in any encounters.

The Legend of Zelda Series is just fecking awesome.

Soldat, endless arcade fun.

The Diablo series, again because of the online play and replayability.

Couldn't agree more. That's why I got a Nes Powerpak (nes dev cart) so that I could play some unreleased titles like EB0 on actual hardware. The NES was the only thing I ever needed as a kid. I'm so glad I belong to that generation. We had so much fun with Mario 3 and Double Dragon.
