Oh poo.How many people does it take to fill up a WOW server?I would guess several thousand, but who would want to spend the money on such an expensive server if you don't collect monthly?Hows your C++ skills 4yo? Wanna build a 300 slot FPS for PC? (Charge monthly of course)who would buy an FPS that charges monthly?Let them download it from free and give then the first month free. Super fast, large servers.I would pay to have a server I could always join and had a low ping in.A server that supports so many more people would have to be much larger than your average BF2 server. And a free month wouldn't exactly offset the multi million dollar budget.Blah, why do you have to be so negative. Our society lacks dreamers.

SA:MP has a maximum capacity of 320 players. Although everyone there justs ram cars into each other.

Assuming the maps are large enough you're probably not going to have more than 50 people in your immediate area anyway. I have a feeling it will be more of an MMO disguised as an FPS.

So making a 12 foot popover isn't innovative even including the method to make it possible?
Quote from: ds dude on August 24, 2008, 10:11:05 amPutting down 1k for upgrading a computer won't help, I mean wouldn't get very lagging with 265 people? If not, then I guess upgrading would be a good choice. This is very interesting, I can't to see whats in store for another 10-20 years in gaming. 256 models on the screen without having to render AI is not very tasking at all, just hope the connection is good.although a full server would probably never happen (all the ps3 owners playing together at once!) I think this is a pretty stupid idea. Whenever they try to set a new standard they put all their effort into making it actually work and no effort into the actual game. The jet car trying to set a land speed record doesn't have any of the comforts of your average toyota.Besides, getting 128 people to use teamwork would be the biggest struggle in terms of gameplay, not to mention some douche in a jet could just bomb the hell out of a whole company of players.

Alright then. If it doesn't lag my machine, I'll be more than happy to play it, but after reading some further post I heard it was only for ps3. Shame, such a game like this doesn't need to be wasted on such a limited console... Am I right? I mean, this kind of game would probably take the ps3 to a whole/final level. No other fps can really compete against this, player wise that is.
but in terms of realism and team work it will crash and burn harder than BF2 ever did
Quote from: Hair|Trigger on August 26, 2008, 03:31:59 ambut in terms of realism and team work it will crash and burn harder than BF2 ever didSince when did BF2 crash and burn in teamwork? Maybe in publics but you cant expect that kind of teamwork in publics anyway.
