« on: August 27, 2008, 04:18:08 am »

I don't mean to sound that a smartass, but try googling it. More likely than not, someone has asked that question somewhere else and gotten an answer.

DDR2 533

Usually RAM has a sticker on it that tells you the specs. Just buy one of the same type.

Wait, When I ran Crucialscan it said I had a 1024mb DDR PC2-5200 installed?

Which one do I need to get? The DDR2 533 or the DDR PC2-5200?

Does your current stick of ram have anything written on it?

Yes, I know how hard reading numbers is, I hear the pros have special glasses to help them.

Well, he seemed to of read all the numbers well and posted them. He just needed someone to connect the dots. I understand completely.

Did I do something to piss you off 4yo?

I see your line of thinking. Thats why I posted the links as well. He leaned something from this I'm sure. I did not just hand the answer to him. I thought him how to get the answer. I think he will know how to find what RAM he needs in his computer next time. Its ok if he asks about what kind of video card or hard drive he needs next though. Because there is a totally different way of finding that out.
