mhm, Pokemon I guess, but that's Pretty nooby now.  I also liked Digimon a long time ago, and some other ones I can't remember anymore.

I've heard good things about Elfen lied. Death note i havnt seen but 2 episodes, and was lost. Epicly. I've seen 2 episodes of FLCL, it interested me, but my contribution to this would have to be Bleach or Blood+

I also neglected to mention a very special anime called "The Place Promised In Our Early Days", since I couldn't drum anything else up for the next four names.

If I list all of my favorites, Gintama, D.Grey Man, Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist, Air Gear, Gurren Lagann,  and probably Black Cat.

Does it have to be english dubbed? Or do you mind things with subtitles?

I prefer subtitles. Might just be a personal opinion, but simply because I know English, it makes everything sound so stupid.

Japanese voice actors are way better than their English counterparts.

Anyhoo...

Blade of the Immortal
Garden of Sinners
Hellsing/Hellsing Ultimate
Mushishi
Great Teacher Onizuka
Welcome to the N.H.K.
Detroit Metal City

That should keep you busy for a while.

The difference between japanese voice actors and american voice actors is that american voice actors do it to get paid, they don't become the characters they portray, while japanese voice actors do, because of their love for anime.

Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of americans out there that like anime, but there aren't just enough of the anime-loving voice actors to go around.

Brian Drummond as Ryuk was very amusing to say the least.

Well the dubbing for Ghost in the Shell is very good, and I think they fit the characters even better than the Japanese ones.

Totally agree, I tried to watch the show with the original voices but the characters seemed to be less interesting.

Aye, there are some exceptions. For example, I enjoyed Rurouni Kenshin a significant amount more in English than I did in Japanese, mostly because of Kenshin's voice.

Along this topic, is it worth it to watch Gundam? There's a mind boggling array of Gundam arcs out there so should I just stick to the original if I want to watch it at all?

I like Code Geass too, but I prefer to simply ignore the second season(R2), that was utter crap when compared to R1.

I'm a big fan of Gundam. I shall recommand a few series to you Espadon :D

And does anyone watch Gurren Lagann here? Serious, the over-the-topness of this anime will kill you if you like its style.
