2 Simple (hopefully) Questions

Hey everyone. I'm new to Soldat (atleast the forums). I've been playing for about 2 weeks or so. I've been playing Team Matches, Capture the Flag and my personal favorite Hold the Flag with bots (just so when I start playing officially, I'm not a noob).

I have 2 quick questions. How do I play private servers? Do I need to pay because right now I'm not registered. Also, I play in Realistic (and sometimes Advance) Mode. I've gotten pretty good at the Barret but in most guns when my character shoots the gun goes up so I end up having to Shoot, Move gun down, Shoot, Move gun down, etc etc. Is there a way to solve this problem other than practice more?

Realistic mode has bink and recoil, which causes the gun to kick back when you shoot, it happens to everyone. 100% normal so you just have to get used to it.

Nope, you just 'Request server list' at the bottom of the screen, under the 'Join Game' tab and choose one. Be sure to check that the Ping(Scroll right) is not too high, or you'll get lag.

^ Correct. You do not need to register to play.

And usually, a ping below 300 is good enough. Anything above that is really bad.



If you register, you get the benefit of having a mini-map, coloured jets and a star next to your name and change your graphics size though (see the registration stuff for more info).

Private servers are ones with passwords. They most commonly occur on clan servers, so unless you plan to get serious with Soldat, just ignore them.
