idc about the director, as long as he produces good movies.

That's one of the dumbest things that I've seen on these forums.  How about, rather than polluting the forums with junk, you interpret the question as it was meant to be taken, and answer with who you think consistently produces the best movies?

P.S. Guy Ritchie, Uwe Boll, Ingmar Bergman

Well it is the same answer, so I find it easier to quote the guy that has a same answer as I have.

Coen Brothers, Kubrick, Ridley Scott, Darren Aronofsky, Kevin Smith, Uwe Boll.

Spielberg would have perhaps been on this list if not for THIS.

and on that note: Chan Wook-Park.

Edit: Sam Peckinpah

Ridley Scott and James Cameron always were my favorites. And Steven Spielberg is just an undeniable artist. There are some danish ones I really thought got it right as well, but you won't know any of'em..

Shame
no one notifyed Sergio Leone
the best one, with his masterpiece "Once Upon A Time In America"   ::)
Tarantino is just classic
and we`ve got Martin Scorsese, Tim Burton for making Big Fish and David Cronenberg for Naked Lunch and Eastern Promises
