The best skill of mapper is skill to dare fail, it's better to do 9 sucky maps and one awesome than creating 10 "only" good maps.

Very interesting layout. Nice flag drop/catch effect there, something new.. The top route won't have purpose, it's just too high and there isn't anything why to go there...

Looks aren't very good, mainly that LONG support that is supporting the flag spawn looks very unnatural. You should support the support from sides. Anyway level of look is pretty simple to develop.

I'm having some suggestions but I guess we'll test this at #soldat.mapping before I say them.

played this map and it is a nice idea but atm it doesn't work almost impossible to grab the flag as it so damn easy to defend so here comes some suggestions to hopefully fix it and spice it up.

blue = ice polygons in general I suggest to always use those at roofs, walls that you don't directly walk on to make movement smoother
yellow = only player collides polygons
My thinking here is to take speed on the ice and fly up with great speed, then you have two choices
you can either grab flag and take same way down. or you can throw it through the only player collides corridor. this solution will also solve some of the problem with double respawn this map suffers from as the bottom gets closed in this suggestion.
