That's beause you can't make them animated...
Again, I love Mario. But I would have loved this even if it wasn't Mario. Someone waypoint this.

the graphics are pretty nice, but a milligramm too bright.
the sharp corners do not fit with mario in any adequate way.
isn't it a tad overcomplicated with the polygons?
those grey rocks are not mario...
nah.
7/10

I think this is the best mario map ever.

The sharp edges do turn away the visual appeal, though.

The background being dark with grass sceneries looks awesome.

I've noticed that some mario maps have a bright background and that is horrible for soldat maps, as you cannot see the bullets.

I would say, 9/10
There are other worlds than these

Are you talking about the background? Because that is indeed Mario. I would know.

Everythigns Mario, all of it Super Mario World by the looks of it. Beaten that game so many times...ah good memories... I <3 the map way worth the download and fun to play 3v3v3v3.

EDIT: It could be edited, I found a few messups here and there, for 1 you can see your feel below the little pipes that connect the outside to the inside, but I dont know if that you fixed it would make it look better or make it easier tho deal with. The Corners could be more rounded but thats easily overlooked in the non-stop action this provides, oh, and sum1 needs to waypoint it :)

I like it, very unique to say te least...

But it would make a lot more sense to me if the scenery weren't so massive...  Soldat is so small

BTW MFO, I think he means this...

And he's right, tht IS mario.  Everything there is...  Most of it is from Super Mario World 2 I think...  on the Snes

Oh, that rock. That is from Super Mario World too, though. Not Super Mario World 2, no such thing.

Technically it was but those blocks werent from SMW2 they were from SMW. I beaten it enough I think I know what I'm talking about.

Also Brock, from marios perspective, everything IS huge when he's small, which small is his real size, the mushroom makes him a giant.

Let me say this: The art style of the screenshots of the map is from SuperMarioWorld Advance 2, not Yoshi Island, which is Advance 3. Trust me, the art style for Yoshi Island is VERY different from, say, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga

Hi there!
Thanks for all Yours positive posts.
Why such a necropost? What brings me here? I have to ask You if anyone have this map. As You all can see host is down for long time, and I forgot to backup my map. Please if some of You have the map so, please put it on [RS] or something. I'll restore this topic.

One more thing. I'm really happy to see that You all like the map, and I'll do another "game based" map. But this time not mario. What it will be then? That's a secret and surprise. I can only say that retro gamers will love it ;]. It's a PROMISE and i don't break my promises =].

I see some of You guys have a doubt about a graphic, so every graphic from my both mario maps are from:
Super Mario World from Super Nintendo aka SNES aka Super Famicon.
Not from Super Mario World 2 - Yoshi's Island. As You can see, graphics betwen both games are much different.

And once again, hope one of You have the map =(.

Aww yeaaa

I also, somehow, have this downloaded in my Soldat 1.3.1 directory.  Would be an awesome map if it was waypointed (and I am correct in stating that it isn't?).

Well, I am stoked to see what else you have in store for us.  I hope you enjoy making it.

And might I add... man, Soldat graphics have changed a whole ton since then! (or was that just a mod?)
