DarkCrusade, you should get Paint.NET, it's free and waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaay better that MSPaint.

Plus it is good to use as a kind of stepping stool if you ever want to get into photoshop.

Paint.NET is awesome. I tried MS-Paint, Photoshop, GIMP and Paint.NET, and I gotta say that the best of them all is Paint.NET, as chutem said, it has a very clear interface and everything seems more simple. Though MS-Paint seems the best for pixelwork.

I hate Paint.NET since I tried it. That´s because of the layout, the style, and the point that Paint.NET makes it REALLY hard to get back to MS since it changes a bit things in MS-version ...

Gimp is the best and most powerful of them all once you learn how to use it completely. Until then, it doesn't come close.

Paint.net is better when you're doing small things like your pixel avatars, DarkCrusade (in my opinion)

but if you find gimp easier thats fine too, but not many people would agree by the sounds of it

And none of them are any good if you don't have a lick of artistic sense.

I like it.

It's not the best looking one, but the "rough"ness is why I like it.

I am reading the handbook of CorelDraw Suite 11 atm, there are more things I can do I would have never expected since it is 2 years old :)

My father will get me the newest version of it at the end of my schoolyear and I hope to be able to use the version I have now till I get the new one and get better at the moddingstuff, watch out for me ;D
