Oh... I see it now.

That was a pretty silly comment, but it was mocking Gears 2 so I don't care. Gears 2 DOES have good graphics
though. and it can make me smile and clap all I want. I still don't like it.

After all, it's pretty much fact now that the PS3 is significantly more difficult to code for than the 360. Many developers have said this.
It's been Microsoft's goal since the original xbox to make a console that caters to the developers to make an easy transition to coding/testing on PC's to the console.

To use the PS3's abilities to their fullest potential (which is a hell of a lot more than the 360 or pretty much everyone's home computer) would require a tremendous amount of dev time and money and the way the PS3 has sold hasn't really been promising to sell enough money to recuperate the money let alone make a profit.  It would be much more economical to develope to the Xbox's potental and then port to the PS3 just the way it is.  Ea had trouble porting the Orange box from PC to PS3 in getting a playable framerate, the orange box should run well using only a 12th the resources the PS3 has to give.  Since it was too much of a bother for EA to do a decent job they simply released the game without much fine tuning and I think that this developer lazyness is what really kills what is obviously superior in terms of capability.

All %100 true. is it just me, or is EA a bit lazy? Their servers are good though.

When people finally break the PS3's potential, I'll buy one. Until then, 360 all the way, with a bit of supcom on the side.

Then it will never show the potential, if everyone thought like you.
Simply because there isn't enough demand to give incentive for companies to improve.

Sadly that's true. If Killzone 2 sells REALLY well then KZ3 may try to pump them out, and KZ2 I must say has my favourite type of sci-fi graphics. Very nice.

So I guess buy one if you can. If you ever want to see some better graphics.

I wanted to get it the moment it got out. Sadly, my parents hates consoles.

I really don't think the PS3's potential will ever be reached. They got too far ahead of themselves in regards to the hardware. A PS3 is simply too expensive to get the install base necessary for developers to push it as their lead platform. I mean, when people can buy a 360 Arcade unit for less than the cost of a Wii, there's a problem.

I believe the PS3 will continue to be the secondary platform for many developers for the reasons 4yo mentioned and what I've said above. The only people who are gonna lead on the PS3, or be exclusive to it, are devs that are historically pretty loyal to Sony.

When the technology is there and popularized, people will start wanting quality instead of price.

That's why PC's are popular. Consoles are cheaper, easier to use and no knowledge of parts is needed to play them, no system requirements, nothing. They are far easier to use, and cheaper. In my opinion consoles are better for casual gaming, not for the intense experiences that some PC games offer.
