I love zombies, but the dead rising demo was mediocore at best... I won't completely give up hope for that game until the reviews trickle in though.

The only reason you didn't get a story in Saints Row was because it is a demo. Same with all the other games. Didn't try Dead Rising as that I'd expect to be be a regular Soldat zombie match.
Ghost Recon, the story isn't gripping but keeps you playing. Blazing Angels has an overused story (WWII) but game wise its good. Very good online. Try Lost PLanet that has a very nice storyline, but since its a demo you get none of it.
Search deeper and you can get a better story line.

However I do agree with you that a lot of games do lack a storyline. I blame this mostly on EA who solely make games for money. Ubisoft (one of my favorites) and THQ (another) make games to please the public. EA Games make games which simply look good. But because of the younger generation wanting stuff which looks good other companies were forced to follow suit.

Games I recommend:
Ghost Recon: AW - Buy
Blazing Angels - Rent first
The Outfit - Rent (I completed it in one rental) Very good game with a friend

Wait for Gears of War demo and more news on Lost Planet.

I thought the saints row demo was cool.

Right now I'm playing The Outfit and Chromehounds.

And I'm quite pleased...for now.

I'm away.

I rather enjoyed the few clips of the game. It just seems like classic fun, but not worth purchasing...I'll play it if a friend is dumb enough to get a 360 for some shitty games.

Who plays games for storyline? Every game I've played was generic bullshit that meaning has become banal.

Stubbs the Zombie was a great game indeed, played it through in practically one sitting.

And a Flaming Lips fan? They're one of my top three favorite bands. I saw them in concert in July and it was amazing.

games in general never really had stories until they really started needing them, story is an importaint aspect in the game, a random stupid pointless story like katamari damacy can be exactly what a game needs to fly off shelves.

there are not enough games period. no pc games are comming out now there are no psp games at all of any value which pisses the hell out of me. there are no games comming out for anything else, its like until the wii and ps3 are released the gaming world is at a standstill.

I will not buy a system until i see atleast 30-40 games out for it, which should be the standard for launch.

No, its not. When it comes down to it, games are about gameplay. If I want a story, I'll read a book or a movie. Hell, I'd even listen to a song. Stories are often left to rot in video games.

They all suck.
