Hi, there. Is there a way to turn off blood?

Hi. I'm a complete noob to this game, but I would like to know if there is a way to disable blood in-game. That would be great.

Technically, yes, there is, although I really don't see how it helps. Go into your Soldat folder and open Sparks-gfx. The ones labeled "blood", "lilblood", "puff" and "splat" are all part of the blood seen on gosteks and when they hit polys, etc. You can get delete these, if you wish, and there won't be any more signs of blood in-game. However, things which will make body parts fly off, such as explosions or repeatedly shooting them, will still occur, and as such, the violent portion of the game is still there despite being no blood to accompany it.

I just tested this myself, and it appears that there are still red spots on dead bodies. Perhaps these are actually part of the gostek files and not Sparks-gfx images. In any case, I'm afraid I can't help you any further. Happy gaming.

Ok, go to soldat/gostek-gfx/ranny. delete all those files and there will no longer be any blood on corpses and such.

IMHO If youre told you cant play a game because it has blood in it, then tell them to take a good look at the world around them and shut the f**k up.

If you have been terribly traumatised by blood and suffer haemophobia, you wouldnt be playing a game where murder is the main objective.

Delete the files? Are you sure that wont cause soldat to throw errors for files it cant find?
I always thought it was a matter of replacing the default files with an empty green pixel image.

You can't disable with options. You should NOT delete the files. Instead, you open those files and modify them by filling them with bright green, because that is the colour considered to be "invisible" in Soldat.

Those on sparks are the effects when you get shot, do /mercy etc.

If you are injured, there would be blood on you. The files are found in the directory:

Soldat/Gostek-gfx/Ranny
and in
Soldat/Gostek-gfx/Team2/Ranny

"Ranny" is the folder you should look into for the graphics of an injured opponent.

well, you can just open all the files in soldat/gostek-gfx/ranny and soldat/gostek-gfx/team2/ranny and change ALL the pictures with green (on rgb 0,255,0) and you will have no blood at all
but the parts of the body will be shown, and can be cut to pieces and etc.

well... another option is playing with a mod that use another things instead of blood like most of the mecha mods... or if you just don't want it to be red i do have a .zip with almost 40 colors for the blood ingame, if you are interested...

Try to Look for a mod that has no mod or you could try to recolor into a different color Like pink :b or you could just use what other people recommended

There's no real point to disabling blood, as the body parts keep flying as stated on the posts above. In my mid, I've made all the blood effects one pixel big so there isn't the ridiculous amount of blood like the normal soldat. Sadly, soldat is a gory game with heavy metal music and a ton of blood. I'm not too fussed about the blood, but a "gore off" option would be good, with no decapitation or blood, and bodies stay still after death.

Anyways, the mod y0da posted should work for you, same with editing your blood to the lime green you find in pictures (If you're using MS Paint, it's a standard color) will work too, but limbs will still go flying as everyone else has said. Just pretend when limbs go flying everyone's just a plastic toy or something. Hasbro mod. (c)
