You won't need a quadcore and extremely good GPU with a 18.5 inch screen...

Will an nvidia 9600 GeForce, 2GB RAM, 2.53GHz intel dualcore run crysis on high?

Nice specs for a work PC!

Yes, it will...but framerate in very tough wars will fall to <20fps

Sweet. I won't get Crysis, but it has the best graphics out there (At the moment) and so if I can run it on High, i can run anything. Yay.

I bought an extreme quad core Intel pc with a GeForce 8500 GT gfx card.
The CPU itself is a beast, but it's useless for gaming due to low FPS (gfx card's fault).
Dual core will do good for pretty much everything out there, the thing you should worry about the most is your gfx card.

I've found that the best investment is spending a lot (marginally) on the processor. Graphics cards get outdated really quick and also drop in price really quick and they're relatively painless to install, and a good processor, like my dinosaur P4 3.2, won't really need to be replaced for a long while.

If you are going to get a gaming PC get a Xtreme quad core processor and try to do not get EVGA cards
eVGA cards are usually the best ones, what are you talking about? Their warranties and step up program, etc

Also an Xtreme quad core is a waste of money, just get a regular one

It won't be a waste of money in the very near future, when games will get much heavier and prices will rise. And prices will rise if there won't be anything new such as Quadruple core or anything alot more powerful than the average Quad core.

They are good but not the best, I thought that he wanted a great pc, so come on if you don't care about how much money (not me cause i have eVGA) you should take anotherone.
