ctf - keep it simple
« on: May 22, 2009, 04:44:19 pm »
is this layout too simple?
I was thinking in adding some flag-throwing place near the flags...

ps.: ofcourse this is just the idea... I'll add scenerys and make a lot of work on the polys

great layout...but I dont think the triangle polys will work, I think you'll get stuck where the ends meet, and really...idk they are just ugly... but yeah nice layout though

At the moment it looks like snipe heaven to me. Also, curve the corner where you put the high spawns.

As he said, he will work on polygons and scenery later on. This is about the layout, not so much the poly structure.

Looks all fine, now I want to see the rest :) Ah btw: The triangles should be smoother ...

Bottom route looks pretty hard to attack on.

Something like this I would do. http://i41.tinypic.com/16i5iyd.png

thank you all for the feedback
now the polystructure is pretty much done (look original post)
I putted some higher spawns like suoW suggested, but I really don't like those open spaces lower the flag, I think they make gameplay less intense

before peopple starts saying something I WON'T make those polys yellow forever, I'll probably put a col there, and hide the polys, it's just to be eazier to see that they are OPC.

Looking good, are you planning to make it possible to throw flag base to base? I guess it would be funnier with that possibility (since you need to be a bit lucky to throw flag that way), atm it looks like that polyisland is blocking that possibility.

No I don't. This map is kinda big for that.
But with spas everything is possible  [retard]
I uploaded a .pms

one thing that I noticed: upper spawns are way way better than the lower ones

I made lower spawns closer to the center
I think lower route is kinda protected right now
