R/S Community

I don't play R/S very often, but whenever I do, the community is somewhat mature.

I played today to encounter two people. One named Bendarr from |D) and another named BMFL from -S] [I- .  I was accused of eating, so I replied, telling him to whine more.

Anyways, after that incident, I was trolled for the next 2 maps by both players and eventually kicked, muted and banned from the server.

I was a little more then disappointed by the maturity of the players. As far as I know, the R/S community is not very big, and acting like that to people new to it will surely not attract more players.

Good games Bendarr and BMFL, I will not be back.

I notice this too, which is why I rarely play on any server that isn't realistic (sometimes survival too). I think it is because R/S takes more patience and is a lot harder than just "point and shoot" in regular games, so it tends to have less screaming, whining, minigun spamming trolls.

I would say just don't go to that server anymore; anyone who feels the need to play "internet tough guy" is most likely lacking something in the "real world" It always cracks me up to see it but, that's the internet for you

I play r/s about 95 % of my soldat time and I gotta say that Bendarr is a real douchebag. I don't know about BMFL though. Never played with him and never heard him speaking.
Anyway. You were lucky you didn't get banned because Bendarr administrates over all r/s US servers. ( Well almost, in 1.4.2 he was admin about on 80% of r/s servers, and they actually told Ben to be an admin ) but I don't know how's the situation now. He abuses his admin rights whenever he can.


And Ben, if you are reading this, don't take it seriously. Because this is my opinion about you. Sure you have some friends... like... your mom?

Defiance R/S should be avoided, generally. Bendarr is the last person you should expect maturity from. He loves kicking/banning people for no good reason, and acting like a douchebag in general. It's best to just ignore him. BMFL is often mildly abrasive in-game, but maybe he had something up his ass today.
