Filter Option, good or bad?
« on: July 28, 2009, 02:47:36 pm »
Well I was wondering this question last night.  Why have the less-played gamemodes struggled?  Lack of playable servers popped into my head at first, and that does explain most of the problem, but then I thought about the filtering option.  Yes it is a good way to weed out the servers you don't want to play on, but does it also limit play to just one or two specific game types?  Imagine soldat without it for a moment, would you play in a less popular mode simply because it popped onto your screen?

Yes...no... I'm quite unsure of the answer myself, so I decided to make this poll to see what the soldat community thinks.

I said yes. Even though I don't filter out by gamemode.
I'm not a fan of DM TDM Rambo.

But I'd happily play HTF if there was a server up!

I usually have filter to only realistic ctf.
I only played TW before, I only play TW after.

It wouldn't hurt at all. If people really wanted to play a less played gamemode, they'd automatically search for it themselves Otherwise, they'd just filter it out. No one wants to play in a game mode they don't want to play or try out.

Not really, considering I play pretty much any inf's whenever there's nothing else to do, like an average players ctf or dm.
