Have you tried...
 - Restarting
 - System Restore
 - Uninstalling old versions
 - Ditching this version for and older one
 - Removing Visual Studio (what use could you possibly have for it?)
..?

How would I go about uninstalling 3.5?

edit: nevermind, googled 3.5 uninstall tool

didn't do shit, still crashes with the same error

Usually in the folder that contains it there is also an uninstall program.

Seriously though, I've used it and visual studio is not that great. Ditch it.

I don't have Visual Studio, gonna try restarting.
