oh wait what

I just need some constructive criticism on the musical piece I've been working on the past couple days. I'm looking more of the mixing aspect or even the other dynamics of it.

I'm not a techno person but this stuff is pretty cool.

Sounds like Trance.
I'm a techno d00d, well i give you 7/10.
Your bassline could be more... Well a BIT better if you see what i mean. Like more complicated
Your lead too, try to change leads a bit. Sometimes it's cool to hear something else.
Even making a Cutoff crescendo or changing beat.
OH OH OH. I forgot, i loved it

Was pretty good!
The bassline could use a bit more awesomeness, but other than that it was good.

this sounds like it would fit right in on a timesplitters soundtrack. if thats what you were going for then well done
if this was supposed to be a techno dance song then it needs a lot of work. its far too samey to keep your listeners interested for almost 7 minutes. youve got a nice melody. all instruments sound very stock and wooden try experimenting with the sounds you are using in a recording program and get something a bit more interesting. in agreement with the above it needs some decent bass to carry the song as there is almost none currently

I'd suggest changing up the timing of the beats/drum kicks in the background. As Panzer said, it sounds a bit too "samey" throughout. Even with the distinction between different parts of the track.
I think this could help significantly, as I hear a constant eight note beat (if I'm correct - been a while) in the background throughout the track. Maybe I'm just not familiar enough with the genre, but some variation there could help.
Also, consider more variation in your pitch/tone (not sure of the proper terminology here). Some deeper tones at the right time could help add some variation.
Once more for ya - consistency. Yes, the beat stops on occasion to let the ambient sounds play through, but overall things are too constant (kinda relates to my first point). Changing the beat, mixing that beat with another or adding a second beat on top, sharp breaks in the beat - all of these can be good at the right times.
I'm no musician. Just a drummer. So I guess I'm a little biased towards the beats.

A drummer is a musician dammit.
And yes, I know they sound like factory(stock) sounds and yes I know the beat is pretty and the melody is pretty constant. This was 3 days worth of work and that is really rushed especially for a piece that is 6~ minutes long. I just tried started to do trance/techno and wanted to see if I was going in the right direction.
I'm working on a new piece, but I'll make sure I work on it for awhile and make it nice and juicy.

Ha, I know a drummer is technically a musician. I just separated the two because I don't go out to perform anymore, and I rarely get the chance to play an actual kit.
And, please, don't take anything said as an effort against your work. Just a suggestion for future efforts, which it seems you're already in the process of creating.
