I see your point, but you're using wayyy too broad strokes.

I'd try to enjoy those days regardless, or do something useful and if I didn't enjoy myself at least I held out until the very end. 5 days of pain with the potential for more is better than throwing them away because you have no stamina.

Be bigger than yourself, hold on to every last breath even if it feels like you're inhailing pins. People have killed themselves over a lot less. Show how much it means for you to be alive, who knows... if God existed then he might give you a break and cure you. Defy death.

So you haven't experienced much pain in your life is what you're saying.
