Offline Bot Improvement Maybe?

I was playing a WWII mod today and realized something :the AI people were pretending like grenades weren't there,etc.,and just ran in to firefights like idiots .And then my idea hatched.BETTER AI!Like instead of running straight into battles try to flank or stay back and try other things,actually try to AVOID grenades,so on.I do not know if this has been suggested before,as this is my first day on the forums,but if some with connections reads this tell that one guy who's name I can't remember(it's like Micheal or something isn't it?the creator?)but anyways thanks for listening!

You mean bots? Yeah they're pretty stupid. They do avoid grenades though (throw one on the ground in front of a boogie man and you'll see what I mean).
It's been suggested a lot to improve them, but hasn't really been followed up on because most people don't use bots.

Btw Michal handed over the reigns a few years ago to EnEsCe who has been developing it ever since.

Yea,I have noticed that if u throw a nade,they kinda avoid it sometimes but that's how I usually end up getting kills lol.I am stuck with dial-up where I live so I can;t play multiplayer very much so this would be awesome if they fixed it.

I think improving soldat bots wouldn't be such a bad idea. The game is fun as it is, but bots are an important aspect for alot of mods out there like Hexer, and Zombie Survival servers(Long Live Hexer!). Plus it might increase the amount of people who play, because alot of people do enjoy this game and have a crappy internet, so they could still have a good time offline.

There are alot of pros for this, maybe cons would be the amount of time it might take opposed to the amount of people who would benefit, not that it would be a very small amount mind you.

You can still play soldat with dial-up, you just have to avoid servers with too many people, 3 on 3 seems ideal for me. Gathers may be something you want to get into, in the few times I tried it I had a good ping, no one whined and it was fun.

Otherwise you can always go down the road of alternative game modes, I frequent Hide 'n Seek and climbing servers, where lag isn't such a hindrance.

ummm, that won't stop you from being able to play soldat in any way.

Soldat is a free game, registering just gives you some improvements, like more custom interface, different colour jets, minimap and better resolutions.

Registering is 100% optional.

The problem is, the bots shouldn't rely have to rely on waypoints to move their asses farther that 3 steps left then back right.
Why not make them more hunter like? I mean X-Y coordinates.
The bot always knows where you are, and is either gonna follow you, or go after the flag. With say a 50-50 chance. Or he picks what's closest.

Another thing that gets on my nerves is when bots know exactly where you are even if your hiding and completely camoflauged and all that good stuffz but u get my drift?
