Movie in the works: Tintin Adventures
« on: January 04, 2010, 09:30:11 pm »
Did anyone really know about this? Seems like Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson are in on this movie. They're making a 3-d live-action film based on the comic series by a french guy.

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost has been hired on board to act, hell yeah.

Well, I knew that the Simon Pegg and Nick Frost were going to be signed on to another film together, to complete the "trilogy" complimenting the ever popular Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.

It'll be interesting to see what Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg come up with.
There are other worlds than these

The fact that Jackson and Spielberg are involved is reassuring, but they'd better not fuck up the voices. My childhood has been raped enough times as it is.
I attend grammar school, last grade, and ignorance is all around me. Well, good for them. Ignorance is bliss.

My main concern as well. Then again, I used to watch the series in Danish, so I'm bound to get raped

I've read all of the Tintin books; I seem to recall watching the animated version of "Red Rackham's Treasure" years and years ago, but I don't remember anything about it beyond that it didn't really follow the book.  Anyway, I've known about this film for some time, and it'll be interesting to see how it turns out.

Only anime shows I've felt any interest in over the years are Pokemon (original TV series) and various hentai.
so clearly jgrp is a goddamn anime connoisseur. his opinion might as well be law here.

I liked the Tintin comics. I hope they make that captain as badass booze drinking motherfucker as he was in the original series.
