Mouse related problems.
« on: January 05, 2010, 02:46:25 pm »
Hello there.

I got a pretty annoying problem with my mouse. It's a G500 Logitech gaming mouse.

The point is, whenever I shoot or jet at the same time, suddenly my character goes auto shooting or auto jetting or both. I've never had this before, with other mouses.

This is the first time I've occured this problem, and the worst is that I already have this mouse since November. But since it didn't worked properly in soldat, I've always used my old one. But yeah paying 56 euros and getting nothing is pretty dumb, so I wanted a solution.

What I've already tried: 1. Checked soldat options, keys etc. (multiple times)
2. Checked the mouse software, even turned off the buttons I do not needed (incase I would press more at the same time like sidescrollers and s**t, changed speeding up receivers of clicks and bulls**t whatever..) (btw it's a software you can only download, and Is not included when you buy the mouse http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/428/5750&cl=us,en?osid=14 ). (you need a certain chosen logitech mouse to have full access of the software). OH it's a USB mouse yes.

So yeah, IMO the mouse is just broken, but that would be too soon, because I didn't use it that much, and I only have problems at playing SOLDAT so yeah, I think it's just me, or my mouse that doesn't works properly.

System: Windows7 32bit. YES I do have the right version of the software (check the link) I cant even install others so.

Soldat: Updated as hell. And no antivirus, firewall is off.

Me: Waits for a solution. (I control the mouse btw, incase you didn't get it).

So if anyone could help me out, I would appreciate that, and be thankfull! have a good day!

P.S: I hope this is the right section where to post such things as this, incase it isn't then forgive me please, and move it.

http://forums.soldat.pl/index.php?topic=32227.0

Some1 mentioned to lower the pooling rate, to me dont works, but might work for some1 else.
Btw, its a Soldat problem, not the mouse problem.

Yes, for DeathAdder lower polling rate fix the problem.

Yeah it worked guys! =) (By reducing the Report Rate | Polling Rate to 125. The lowest :P I had 1000 selected so yeah it happened pretty often!) And it doesn't changes the gameplay at all. Lol even that software told me to select 1000 to improve gaming. F*cking bs!

Thanks for the help. Didn't wasted money at all now! :P.

Greetings. DutchFlame.

Hmm recheck my post.

Btw if you increase the polling rate, meaning selecting how many times per second your mouse sending over his position to the system of the computer, gives you a relaxter, flexible mousepointer movement, at the cost of more CPU bandwidth. So that's it. But if it really works? Well maybe not in soldat, but in games like cod 5&6 or shooter good looking games(no not 2D) and fast response games maybe. I really don't give a shit IMO cuz I don't need it in soldat and probably never, but whenever it should work for better games then I'll probably use it.

See for yourself. Any other stuff that would MAYBE work, could be changing mouse buttons and only set up the right and left mouse buttons. If you even got more then 2. This didn't worked for me, so It probably won't will for you either. But give it a try. Also check if your mouse buttons are not dirty or stuck for some reason :S. Whatever could be the problem. Mine is solved ! SO GOOD LUCK :P

I always end up like that at the very beginning of a match. I fly up and shoot like hell until I press the left and right mouse button. Really annoying in CWs.

Learn to click both buttons in the end of the previous round and make it a habit. Problem solved.

I only it was that simple. But the problem occurs sometimes in the round itself.

For example, ten minutes ago, on a climb server. I was trying to jump backward but the jet got stuck. So it made me mini-flip. And... well I guess you can imagine what followed :(

It was pointed to DarkCrusade and, of course, everyone else with the same problem with buttons being stuck in the beginning of a round.

since I'm using deagle, I have to realign my cursor and shoot 3 times per second, which means if i got input lag or a low pooling rate, i cant do that very well.
I RLY can notice the diference between my old 1000mhz and my current 500mhz, even more between 250 or 125(default). Btw i dont think any other weapon need more than 250mhz to play, cuz auto u just keep pressing it and moving cursor, and ruger/1shot you dont need that fast shooting.
I am using 200 sensibility to play Deagles, and since it shoot 2 bullets it already eat lots, cuz the dammed code need to process more infos(I THINK) and if i play in less speed than the max i can(atlest 500mhz), i will fail harder to keep killing in 1 or 2 seconds max.
