CRT. i think that my games, espically higher end ones, look better in crt, i seem to get better refresh rates, plus the god awfully huge size of my crt (22 in).. and better yet, it was FREE. so i dont feel like  trading in for a lcd with a smaller screen and have to pay for it. but i wouldnt mind a slim line crt monitor :D
and my crt has never hurt my eyes, mebey you all should unglue yourselves from the screen every few days... :P

You guys say teh CRT monitors hurt ur eyes , but the awfull crispy edge on LCD would hurt your eyes even more (unless u have a ultra High end machine and a 21 inch lcd with 8 miliseconds refresh rate, but I dunno if there even exists one like that)

if people have a CRT bothering their eyes (or even an LCD), just increase the refresh rate and it'll get better

A Cathode Ray Tube user is me. Its an old one, but a very good picture. Liquid Crystal Displays are for kitten kickers.

Actually, LCD monitors are NOT better for the eyes, it's just a myth.

All the 'professional tests' were made with low-end CRT models compared with high-end LCD models, with standard refresh rate (!) of 60Hz, which really hurts.

Besides, small size of LCDs make placing big protection screens impossible thus make them very hazardous for your eyes.

And they cannot display pure black, got uneven highlight, cant even display 16bit color properly! Sometimes image flickers to display proper color.

Short reaction time is just a myth, sometimes even on high-end models it can go up to friggin 40ms!

High end NEC CRT monitors with flat screen etc. would crush LCDs into smytherines.

Besides, LCD cannot display any resolution other than their native one, thus making soldat look horrible!

I'll certainly use a CRT over an LCD on a gaming machine. Having good quality on multiple resolutions is important imo. (having the desktop at 2048x1536 and games at 1280x1024 e.g.)

On a machine mainly used for office software an LCD would be better I suppose. I notice the colours are better on my laptop LCD than my CRT. But then again, this CRT is nearly 5 years old :)

Was it set to its native resolution? If an LCD is blurry, it's either that or it's just screwed up.

LCD, I dont mind but my parents like smaller monitors so I was 'forced' to get a 19 inch LCD.
By the way its monitor not moniter.
I have a 15 inch CRT which I might hook up as well so I can easily watch movies while browsing.

I do everything on the same resolution 1280*1024

I have LCD because my desk isnt big enough for CRT, and it just looks cooler. 8)

Although, since colors are a major part of my job I would prefer the color depth of a CRT over LCD.
