=Ravenholm= brainstorm thread

I'm not sure if some of you guys remember me asking you what should I make as a soldat map in a topic made a year ago, but a lot of you wanted Ravenholm from the Half-Life 2 game.

So basically, being that buildings are extremely difficult to do correctly in my opinion, I wanted a thread where you can suggest certain sceneries, textures and even the shading, if need be. I am largely inspired by p0ppin's ctf_Plaza and a few of Avarax's _cs and _de maps.

So, for you guys who wants an idea of what Ravenholm should look like, can look here.

(P.S., I'm aware of a few mapping projects I want to get started on, and a few others I want to finish, but this strikes me as a project that should be fun to do)

The turnout will be fantastic. Organizing scenery is probably the hardest part. Making polygons is relatively easy, you only have to choose one tool (disregarding shading). Scenery you almost have to organize before you even begin because hunting it all down in Polyworks is really dysfunctional.

So, what I did was hunt down the majority of the indoor scenery I wanted to use (some being obscure >:(), and prefixing it all with ep, or etc, or whatever you want. Someone found some real nice HL2-esque door scenery a couple years back; maybe it was Specialists, I dunno. I wish there was a HL2 scenery pack out there. That would be most excellent. Actually, rir is the closest to it haha, but most of it is too Counter-Strike ish.
