my account does not exist but exists at the same time!

i got bored a while ago and stopped playing soldat. now ive downloaded it again and it says login or CREATE A FREE ACCOUNT to play online. so i create an account and when it asks me for my activation key i put it in and i get this

Can not open /usr/local/share/GeoIP/GeoIP.dat

then i try to retrieve my password by putting in my email and it says "This E-mail does not exist!"
so i put my username in and it says "This username does not exist!"

BUT when i try to make a new account it says THIS USERNAME HAS BEEN USED
or THIS E-MAIL HAS BEEN USED!

and its freaking pissing me off. does anyone know how to fix it?

It sounds like you downloaded the 1.5.1 beta client instead of the current version (1.5) found here. I think that the login system for the beta ("Soldat Portal") is offline right now in preparation for the 1.5.1 release client, so that might be why you're having trouble with it. You're better off installing 1.5.

Sorry, was a bug as a result of the recent maintenance. Should be fixed now, you'll have to sign up again.
Also, as Xurich mentioned, this is the beta client you are using.
