A Zombie Arena Map
Left 4 Dead



Description: Can you kill 100 zombies before they kill 100 of you? How 'bout in 10 minutes?

Players: At least 2 vs 24 (bots)

Properties:
Polygons: 888
Scenery: 26
Spawns: 19
Colliders: 0
Waypoints: You bet
Dimensions: 2464x1792



A special thanks to Kinkynoob for making the background scenery for the apartment building that... isn't a playable part of this arena.





I highly recommend playing this map with the newly released Left 4 Dead Weapons Mod as the weapon configurations are pretty true to the real L4D game (aside from the dual pistol and semiautomatic sniper rifle). My personal opinion on how best to play this map are included in the "comments" of the zip file. You'll see them.

Since the last teaser release, a
L4D script has been released by
another group in the Soldat Forums
scripting board.  As far as this mod
and that script complimenting each
other, I do not know.  It is worth a
try.

Credits:

For the interface weapons (that do
not really fit the real L4D game weapon
graphics), credit goes mostly to Boots
(w/o permission).  I believe I snagged
them from one of his crazy-long
weapon arsenal threads on SF.  My
apologies Boots, but you volunteered
to help out at one point anyway... The
Remington Pump Shotgun was grabbed
from... who knows... it has been a year.
I have taken the liberty to edit both the
pistols and remington shotgun. I have
designed the rest, aside from the base
elements such as the gostek gfx and
default weapons.ini (of course).

This release has, for too long, been
sitting in my mods folder.  The one
thing stopping me from releasing this
latest version has been the interface
graphics.  But, as I am sure hardly
anyone will mind, I am releasing the
whole thing anyway.  As for which
weapons to disable before playing? 
I am sure will be self-evident. 

Soooo, set up the weapons, move
both spawn times to 1 second, start the
L4D Arena map, /addbot2 20 zombies
and 8 boomers (make sure you have 3
other bots as teammates), and KICK ASS!
Obviously play "team deathmatch" and
bump up the score-to-win to around 100.

Nice post.
In Soldat, the player controls a small customizable soldier  who possesses jet boots testking 642-983. These boots allow the soldier to fly for a relatively short time, before needing to automatically regenerate their fuel testking 117-102. The amount of flying possible at a time, and fuel regeneration rate, both depend on individual maps. The game is normally played over the Internet or a LAN testking 350-040, but it is possible to play offline against bots. There are a variety of game modes to choose from, ranging from the popular free-for-all (DeathMatch testking E20-361, RamboMatch, and PointMatch) to the team-based (Capture the Flag; sometimes in the CTF mode the "black team" (Michal Marcinkowski team) is on-line, Infiltration, TeamMatch, and Hold the Flag).
