How is soldat these days?
Is LawCatch/Duckhunt still played? Do newer people even know of these modes if they are not played anymore :p
Is the best mapmaker still polycount or whatever it was called?
and how is everyone doing ;?

LawCatch is dead, duckhunt semi-dead.
Right now, at least IMO it's some guy called DR.DR4IG.
Everyone's just peachy.

There are still active CTF gathers.

As for the status of Soldat, there are really infrequent releases and the public betas are buggy and unstable so parts of the community are starting to wane.

The mapping community certainly hasn't died. 2010 has gotten 134 new maps on TMS so far.

 I'm FAR from the best.. I just have a knack for tiling/Scenery. My maps still have the odd retarded bot or polybug, But I'm learning.

 (And yus.. I do SEARCH my own name in forums often. I'm vain like that.)

EDIT: Oh! PROGRAM for mapping. Yup, That's still PolyWorks. At least, Betwen that and Adobe CS3 is what I use. And to be honest, I hate CS3. I want good ol Photoshop 5.5LE 'gain.

Nah, your maps are extremely well balanced for their size and huge amounts of eye candy.
You got a knack for that.

Dews, good to see you again. It certainly has been a while. Yeah, I'm afraid soldat's on borrowed time these days, mainly for the reasons jrgp stated. But we had a good run, yes?
