CTF_Ghetto re-re-released

Just found this, figured why not.

I think it's still working. Who knows. Here's some screenies.



Overview





Map is about as big as ctf_run and has two paths. The lower path is a flat path with pillars blocking fire every few inches. Suprisingly fun down there. Otherwise the top half is about jumping and ducking behind cars, and potentially gaining advantage of higher parts of the buildings and rail stairways.

Feel free to take this map and spice it up with whatever edits you like, or rip off some of the (insane amounts) of scenery in the game. It's all in bmp's still, but it's compressed and saved in such a way that it takes up less than a mb. Uncompressed it used to take up a whopping 60mb!


Oh yeah. Credits to Stalky for actually making a playable map out of the scenery I made.

Regarding the lower path, flat hallways with crates and the like are always loads of fun, maybe because of the (somewhat) realism.

I found they never worked for me.... I always ended up with bouncy polygons when i tried making square-ish maps.

Good job, love the soldat forums billboard. ;)

I like te three-dimentional building effect...

Good layout, nice scenery, lol @ the soldatforums sign :D

Although you could have applied shading (or lighting) on the ground below the lights in the tunnel...
