Looks rather misleading.. I would expect to be able to take the upper route, and I don't see what would be wrong with that if you removed the lower section. It's made the larger arena map pretty small.
I like the colours/shading and the idea of removing the lower section, though the grass seems very prominent/stands out in my view.
