TERA Online
« on: March 07, 2012, 10:51:38 am »
Anyone gotten on board for the TERA beta? I have and it is good stuff.

If you don't know what TERA is, it's a MMORTS being developed for a western audience after being out for a while in Korea. What stands out with this game is that it looks greater, runs better, and has more fun combat than any other MMO ever.

After trying this out for the weekend with my SWTOR guild, we immediately decided to move over to this new game instead. It's just that good.

Anyone else tried TERA?

I can't honestly believe you're ditching Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic for some korean crap. It's practically South Korea's job to shell out shitty mmos to people like they were nothing. The only popular korean game that somehow managed to survive due to billboard ads on the highways in Seoul is MapleStory.

The only good mmorpg in my opinion was Star Wars Galaxies and one day Sony Entertainment got high and decided to install two major patches that wrecked the entire game.

Stick with SWTOR, cause I guarantee Tera Online will get old faster that SWTOR.

SWTOR got old very quick. Don't get me wrong I loved it all the way I played it, but I've done everything that is to do in that game. Our guild clear both the hard mode Ops in one evening, and there is not a godamn more thing to do in the game.

And this is not some Korean crap. Mind you that was always something me and my friends feared it would be. Some grindy korean MMO with no soul, but it's not. It's godamn fun. It requires skill and teamwork to run the dungeons, not tab targeting and snoring my way trough the fight like in any other MMO. The game has changed a lot from its Korean version to make it less grindy and overall more appealing to a western market. And it works. Me and my entire SWTOR guild agrees this kicks the shit out of SWTOR.

Fine, I'll try it whenever I get it chance or when it comes out.
