Video playback has messed up
« on: August 21, 2006, 06:51:49 am »
Look at the screenshot down below, that's how my Windows Media Player looks like.
The problem only occurs for FFdshow / DivX movies, not for WMW files.
Playing the videos in Winamp works just fine, though I prefer Windows Media when it comes to video.

So... any ideas what may cause my problem?

I've already reinstalled both Windows Media, the DivX codec and the FFdshow codec. Didn't help. :(

Nuff said....
It's stuffed up my DVD playback, and its screwed up my audio many times. I know that its the culprit because every time I installed it, the computer would just go mute and the graphics Card went haywire!
Get rid of it, use a better codec...
Just another soul to burn.

Uninstalled it, reinstalled DivX, installed All-in-one codec pack. Yay, fixed the problem!
But now my subtitles won't work... Every time I try to enable them WMP crashes.

What Bee said and if there is a movie or clip it can't play then it'll work in Windows Mediaplayer :)
VLC FTW!

The error existed in Windows Media Player 10 as well which isn't in the BETA stages.
And the error had nothing to do with WMA, it was my codecs that had messed up.
