Asus x550jx xx0171d Notebook Review

Just want to talk about something different.
Yeah well, I bought this about 3 weeks ago, price was 900$ = 2700 Turkish liras.
I had got HP g62 b01, have been using it since 2009, it was powerful but old you know core i3, 3 gb ram, 512 mb gpu, 2.4 ghz..

Now, this Asus has simply;
12 gb ddr3 1600 mhz ram (supports 12 at least)
1 tb 5400 rpm hdd (wish there was sdd too)
NVIDIA GTX 950m 4 gb gpu
Intel hd 4600 2 gb desktop gpu
i7 4720HQ 3.6 ghz 8 core cpu
1366x768 HD resolution (wish it was full hd 1920x1080)
SonicMaster integrated sound device

I borrowed it with driver cd and freedos.
Main driver CD supports w8.1 and upper, so I couldnt install w7.
But I didn't upgrade to w10 cause I didn't like it, one time I've tried it.

Generally, it is powerful and I call it monster.
I play LoL very high quality settings with 150-300 fps, lowest with 300-400 fps.
GTA V, havent played yer but I searched it on forums, it plays with 60 fps at least very high quality.
So, there is no game even COD black ops III, which this can't play at least quality.

I recommend you this device, it is usefull for many things to do or listen to music or play games.

Asus X550VB here. I think the x550* series is quite solid. Not a beast but does its job. Maybe the harddrive is a bit slow but I am going to replace dvd drive with ssd later. Still waiting for leapcomputing service to roll out. I might not need powerfull laptop anymore but that sounds like a dream.

It is not the best way of gaming but simply if you want to do something when on travel, home, school, bus, it is the best way using laptop.
It is ideal for price. No gaming or no basic laptop. Average but upper than average a bit.
