heh, from what I can tell through all those nasty grid lines, it doesnt look half bad.

Goods:
1) it's very original, as far as TW maps go.
2) the scenery usage was close to the theme
3) shading!
4) the camonets and things are placed well; not too close or far apart.
5) the various out posts and mid base are good. though not good looking, the structre is simple and effective for both sides.

Not-So-Goods:
1) the shading, though present, is a bit too large in some places. like under the left base especially. needs to be shaded closer to the surface for a more 3D effect.
2) the texture is too repetitive. especially on flat maps like this, try squeezing the texture in some places and stretching it in others.
3) its a bit light (lacking thereof) on the scenery. it does follow the theme, but there just isnt that much to hide behind.
4) that pipe on the bottom seems just, like, wow wtf. lol, if you cant go through it then it really serves no purpose, and if you can then it makes for a quick and easy path to the bravo base. though I guess the bravos could easily keep it covered, its just one more hole in their line (which is against the map's name, lol. get it?) as they also try to amke forward progress on the surface.
5) the bravos seem like they are kind of at a bottleneck under the big stone wall thing. that narrow place and the pipe would be the only way out for them, which could easily be covered by alpha barretards and 12-yr-old M79ers.

other than that, not bad! just kill the grid and the objects when you take your screenshots, and I look forward to playing it on avarax's server!

ya sry i forgot about that, i took these a while ago so i used them,
also the pipe is just there cause i was bored and wanted to put it there :P  (though i thought about it)
and as you can tell, Im not a good shader.

plus the map is larger then you think, the bravos can make it out of the wall easy and defend on the othe rside without any problems, also it helps to prevent spray

anyways thanks,

You forgot to include WATER.bmp in the zip.

The overall map is pretty nice and the shading is good (though there are some errors - rock to left of alpha spawn and under the big tower in the middle.)

I like all of the towers throughout the map and the interesting bunkers included.

I think you should probably tone down the brightness of the grass and a few other bits of scenery around such as the bunker.bmps and the tank.

Also, please get rid of that pipe! It really detracts from the map.

Im not a good shader.
trust me man, your better than a lot of people Ive seen, lol. plus, with time and patience, you'll get a ton better.

naw I know how big it is, lol, but only thanks to the grid  ;D, but yeah, at the start it'd be a breeze to get out, but often times on his trenchwar server, one team usually ends up hanging close to the other person's side, and is beating them down pretty bad. if this were the case with the alpha's then (liek before) some barretard could camp in that little outpost right past the first bunker outside of the big wall and mow down anyone too come out. plus, with the addition of the wall, now all the spray will be focused on that one little opening (cause in Sodlat, idiots will always spray, regardless of the situation, lol). if it were me, I'd just make like a tunnel just above that one, and/or also make one to go down below and pop up elsewhere where there's some cover or something  :D

Impressive map, although somewhat unbalanced.

I don't get it, I thought trench war maps are supposed to have trenches in them.

well its more of a defencive style map which is kind of what TW is,
and damnit im sorry i forgot to include the water scenery in there, il edit it when i get home

and ya i had some shading problems with the alpha side, damn i hate that you can only shade verticies! AHHH,
ah well maybe something else will come out to make it so you can shade anything, not just verticies, then you will see me do better

i dont see why its imbalanced, sure theres a big mountain in the bravos side but right after is that big ass tower that I made so the bravos could fight off the attackers, plus since there is a mountain in the way you cannot spray over (a big issue with TW)

anyways, when i get home, im getting the watter scenery in there, Im sorry to you guys out there, also if you want me to i will remove the pipe, but then you have to redownload it because if you try and use that map on a server without the pipe, then you will get kicked and it will say wrong version of map constantly until you remove it

no, it won't get onto my server, i've rejected Onyx maps a couple of times now already and i feel really sorry about that, he keeps getting better but i dont think it's enough yet. but yeah, it fits my definition of TW very well :)
