Noobs to the rescue
« on: September 19, 2006, 04:44:46 pm »
Well, I was bored today and went on public servers to practice my barret.
I join some server and start playing, it was ctf_Lanubya. I start running to alphas base and kill 2 guys on the way there at my relatively slow pace, thinking how I'll get gangbanged by several autos in the base. But when I get there it's all empty!
So I went for the flag quickly and for the medis on the upper ledge when all of a sudden 4 reds spawn beneath me. In panic I throw all my nades(5) down  beneath me on the floor while jumping out to run on the upper side and surprisingly I get a double kill with one guy being bounced to the lower side. I snipe the last guy and go for my base hoping it was empty, although knowing it was not. I come there in the middle of a battle shooting one supposebly last polak in the back, to cap victoriously when all of a sudden this noob with a 0:8
score m79s me from behind then dies on his own nade. Atleast he didn't return :/

Hate it when those noobs come outa nowhere to spoil a nice pwning moment :(

Well, have to say that's interesting.  Leave it to n00bs to pop up at the most inopportune moments.
To sum up my point: We had a multipage debate about toilet padding. (Putting TP in the water so you don't get splashed.)
And we still don't know if dead guys can keep a stiffy.

I had similar moments. Once, on Ctf_Ash I Had red's flag and spriting to cap. I was being tailed by 3 Alpha's. I spin around frantically, lobbing grenades and fire round after round on them. I kill all 3 scoring a triple. I make it to my base just about to cap and then.....][M79] and I die.

"Noobs make the world go round."

^ The secret to online gaming life.  Someone said that to me when I first started playing halo online.
But yeah, I agree...  I'd be PO-ed too.

That's why you should always have someone defending the flag-holder.

my biggest mistake is buying a laptop for gaming...cause I bash the crap outta the computer every time somebody pulls off an impossible kill...I've killed my desktop computer cause of CSS xD...

Heh it would be an m79 too... I hate that. But I find it more annoying when your own teammate botches your efforts, like yesterday on u13 ctf... I believe you were there Outcast. It was on Maya, I was on Bravo bringing the flag back up top with about 1/4 health left, and I was just about to cap when some newbie on my team, who was flag camping, shoots me in the face with the law. It sent me sailing down the gap in front of our flag, and someone with an auto finished me off and returned their flag. >:(

He did apologise, but it still turned me into a whiney b**** for the next minute or so. :-\

I don't blame you, man.  I'd be pretty pissed myself.

I think -WildBill- was trying to say "It doesn't matter whether it was 0:8 or 8:0, if he was using m79.........".
