Out of the last 15 topics locked in the lounge, Gram has locked only 6 of them.  I don't think that is a particularly high number, considering he is the most active Lounge moderator.

While he could do with warnings and questions before locking threads (like in your thread posting first to ask why you're not just using the other list), most of his locks were not bad decisions if you ignore the fact that they were rushed.

I have spoken to him and we agree that his locks would all appear much more justified if he would start posting first to ask questions and warn people that the thread is about to get locked for <whatever>, rather than just locking it right away

I remember a guy who was made admin a while ago, and he was a right *******. He'd lock topics, taunt people with his powers, and went on his own train of thought, showing little thought for others - even his moderators.
But, people gave him a chance, provided constructive criticism that he eventually had to start listening to, brought forward plans to help improve the forums, settled in and doing what the community required of him, and in his own little way helped us out to where we are today. He never was the perfect admin, but god forbid if ever did something wrong he'd want everyone to help point him in the right direction.

If we're talking about the same guy - I liked the older one better. Atleast he had humour an absurdly masculine penis.

I have the same opinion about it as well.
