What is texture stretching and how do I do it?

Choose the stretching tool and press (near) the corner of polygon and move your mouse.

You make the map look better since the textures aren't all static over it all.

It makes it look really cool. Go look at the top-right of Bunker; the polygon is stretched to achieve a 3D effect.

You use stretching to simulate a 3D effect. There is a map by Anna that shows what stretching can do REALLY well, although I don't know where you can find it; it features a bunch of spheres of land.

Which one do you think is better?
The stretched one, as you can see, gets rid of the repetition in the texture as well as gives it a 3d effect, as everyone else said.
