ctf_lunar - gimme some suggestions
« on: November 27, 2006, 06:38:06 am »
A dark ctf map, yes it is symetrical (please don't flame me) The shading is very simple, but I feel it is effective. Reminds me of ctf_howitzer. Suggestions needed regarding scenery.

Hey ! That's symetrical ! *flame*

I gather this is supposed to be on the moon ? Maybe a lunar lander in the center, some rocky outcrops. And for heaven's sake, remember that the moon is white, so making the ground green is a tad silly.

I don't know, maybe a little more substanance in the bottom. You didn't give any reference pics (e.g. of a gostek), so I'm just guessing, but you'd be able to see the other side of the ground. Unless that's the style you're lookn' for (floating green moon base), I suggest you make the ground a wee bit more thick :)

Actually it's not meant to be on the moon, I felt it just had a lunar feeling to it :P (Maybe I'll change the name). And I tested the ground, it is plenty thick IMO. A for scenery, I'll add some rocks, maybe a bit of debris etc.
Thanks for the advice :)

Glad to be of service. And BTW, I'm pretty sure people would go along the bottom more than the top. It looks like you could just superman for a third of the map, and get a nice jump off of one of those dips. Just a suggestion, but try to make the upper path more appealing :)
