Problems with Soldat Dedicated Server over Linux
« on: December 01, 2006, 07:31:46 am »
Hi, I have downloaded soldat-dedicated-server and patch for it from: http://www.soldat.pl/downloads/soldatserver252.zip, http://www.soldat.pl/downloads/serverpatch252.zip . I did everything with readme.txt. I read similar topics and did what you wrote there, and I still have problems.

I have to computers:
1. router on Linux
2. my pc on windows

I set the dedicated server over linux, and my friend connect to it and everything seems to be allright. But, when something is send to Internet or to my pc (which is over the nat), soldat server chrashes. The same situation is, when I connect to this server via lan ip, and via public ip. I even, turn off nat and firewall, and it didn't help.

What have to be done?

Soldat Dedicated Server 1.3.1 - BETA 2.5.2
Linux Slackware 10.2 (but i suppose that's not important)

What shows up in the console?

Try turning off scripting (Server.ini Scripting=0)

For future reference, if you download the soldatserver252 file you don't need the patch.  The patch is just for people upgrading from an older server to 2.5.2
