Connection error then shuts down

Alrighty so I get the server list perfectly fine, everything is going well when i try to join the server, then as its requesting server... BAM it hits me up with an error about my scenery-gfx/xxxxxx.bmp being unable to load
My comp is pretty old but should be able to function on soldat considering its 2D and Liero works on my comp
anyway my graphix card is
intel corporation 810 graphics controller hub
if i have to update its drivers please tell me how
its 18 gigs
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Cannot load <filename>.bmp

Another common problem. The most common solution to this is to uninstall Soldat, completely delete the Soldat directory, reinstall and then reboot.

However, sometimes it's due to the person in question not having the latest version of DirectX. Another problem may be that their graphics card is not up to date, so please be sure to update it.

Yeah, I tried reinstalling it like 3 times, and the only times i do connect to a server is for 2 secs then it says wrong map version

If you get wrong map version, that means you're suffering the wrong map version bug and there is nothing you can do, except wait for the server to change maps or play on a different server.
